Orthodontic Assistant – Full-Time

Lustig & Young Orthodontics is looking for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team!
This is a full-time traveling position supporting our four LYO locations. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling between locations based on the practice schedule.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking an Orthodontic Assistant who can confidently step into a busy orthodontic environment and provide excellent clinical support and patient care.
Requirements:
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience required
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or ability to meet applicable certification requirements
- Hands-on experience with bonding, debonds, wire changes/adjustments, RPEs, impressions/scans, X-rays, and Invisalign attachments
- Ability and willingness to travel between all four LYO locations
- Reliable transportation
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced practice
- Dependable, team-oriented, and focused on providing an excellent patient experience
What You’ll Do
- Assist orthodontists during clinical procedures and treatments
- Perform orthodontic procedures within your permitted scope
- Take X-rays, photos, impressions, and/or digital scans
- Prepare patients for bonding, debonding, adjustments, and other appointments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliances, aligners, and treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clean, organized treatment areas
- Support the clinical team across LYO locations as scheduled
