We're looking for an experienced Orthodontic Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced practice and is committed to creating an outstanding experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during a variety of orthodontic procedures.
- Take digital X-rays, impressions, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment while maintaining OSHA and infection control standards.
- Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed by the orthodontist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and proper care of braces, aligners, and orthodontic appliances.
- Accurately document treatment notes and patient progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment and assist with inventory management.
- Deliver exceptional patient care while supporting an efficient clinical schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous orthodontic assisting experience required.
- Current Texas dental assisting requirements, as applicable.
- Current CPR certification preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA standards.
- Experience with digital scanners, clear aligners, and self-ligating bracket systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
