The Role

Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Support equity and debt capital raises and sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes. Lead transactions including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, other equity capital markets activity, high yield debt issuance, and other debt issuance in the North America diversified industrials space. Analyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligence. Perform financial modeling and analysis related to the valuation of companies including discounted cash flow, transaction comparables, public market comparables, leveraged buyout analysis, and public market overviews. Create pitch books to present to the clients on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure alternatives. Assist with account coverage. Lead day-to-day client dialogue, idea generation, and transaction execution. Prospect new clients not covered by the investment bank to expand the coverage universe. Train junior analysts and associates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as an Investment Banking, Financial Analyst, Strategy/Operations Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, or related field of study plus 6 years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banking, Financial Analyst, Strategy/Operations Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: investment banking or investment analysis; sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes; client dialogue and relationships with executive teams; financial modeling for valuation using Excel; developing pitchbook presentations using PowerPoint; presenting ideas to clients and internal parties; preparing live deal materials including confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses; executing equity and debt capital raises; advanced merger modeling; cashflow modeling; accretion/dilution analysis; LBO modeling; comparable companies, corporate, and financial analysis; researching industry trends, strategic landscape considerations, and economic drivers; utilizing databases including FactSet and Bloomberg; client dialogue; account coverage; and supporting multiple projects and deliverables.
Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. This position requires up to 50% domestic travel and 10% international travel.
Full-Time. Salary: $285,000 - $285,000 per year.
