JOB SUMMARY

You will be a key contributor to our day to day operations and providing exceptional customer service by working with the Automation Group Operations Manager. This position is the focal point for data entry and order processing for the Distribution Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced, high performing team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Swiftly and accurately process customer orders, adhering to our approval requirements and workflow  process, to meet company performance guidelines.

  • Develop competency within our corporate ERP system (Netsuite) and other platforms (Microsoft, Google, Zoom, etc).

  • Manage and enter all orders coming in through AG’s email inbox designated for such.

  • Manage and distribute emails coming in through AG’s general customer service inbox.

  • Add new customer accounts to our ERP system and update contact information for existing customers, as needed.

  • Provide excellent communication by assigning tasks and effectively utilizing internal memo notes.

  • Learn to recognize vendor names, brands and technologies that are represented not only by the Automation Group, but also those handled by other divisions of the company.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work under general supervision and rely on experience and judgement to accomplish       goals.

  • Complete various training seminars, modules, both internal and vendor / product related, in accordance with company requirements.

  • Develop functional knowledge of the Automation Group’s strategic plan and overall service capabilities.

  • Perform various miscellaneous tasks and projects as directed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School / GED required with at least 1-2 years data entry experience, OR

  • Minimum 1 year college, with at least 1-2 years customer service/inside sales experience.

REQUIRED BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

  • Computer / tech savvy with a demonstrated ability to navigate within a multi-window environment, using Google Business Apps, Microsoft Office, and/or other.

  • Detail oriented and highly organized.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, so as to represent Cross Company in a calm, pleasant and professional manner.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to include, but not be limited to, dependability, adaptability, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility.

REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Working knowledge of customer service principles and best practices.

  • Must be an action oriented, self-motivated worker with a high energy level.

  • Able to work independently in a remote environment, while still engaged and functioning within a team environment.

  • Above average math and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to accept constructive criticism.


PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical:

  • Sitting at a desk, with minimal breaks, for up to four hours at a time.

  • Perform data entry / typing for extended periods of time throughout the work day.

  • Spend extended lengths of time viewing computer screens.

Mental:

  • Must be highly organized, with a well-developed ability to multi-task.

  • Must possess the ability to quickly learn and retain technical and vendor-related information as well as company policies and procedures.

  • A high degree of self-control and the ability to interact with others in a businesslike and professional manner.

  • Ability to efficiently and calmly work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.

Skills Required
