Join Cohu's Order Management Department in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo). In this key role, you will manage customer order processing for semiconductor test handlers/machines, kits and/or contactors. You will also interface with Operations Team members to ensure consistent and continuous fulfilment of customer commitments.
This position is long-term full-time temporary position (8-10 months). The position works on-site Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one hour lunch. The successful candidate will become an employee of and be "payrolled" through TCW Global and on this full-time temporary assignment at Cohu. The position pays up to $26.00 an hour.
The ideal candidate meets the requirements as noted below and has strong customer service and sales support (order processing) experience in a business-to-business environment, preferably in manufacturing.
MAIN OBJECTIVES :
- Manage customer order processing for handler/machine, kits and/or contactors.
- Interface with Operations Team to ensure consistent and continuous fulfilment of customer commitment
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage customer’s enquiries promptly
- Manage and process customer purchase order, ensures order accuracy and completeness of order processing in a timely manner.
- Acknowledge PO receipts and send order confirmation to customer
- Manage and communicate sales order with operation team
- Monitor backlog report and maintains accurate shipment dates and information
- Track POs receipt and update related tools and files
- Generate customer reports
- Any other ad-hoc tasks that are assigned

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education: HS diploma or GED. AS Degree or higher preferred or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience: A minimum of four years prior experience as a customer service representative in a manufacturing environment that includes experience interfacing in a business to business context.
- Skills / Technical Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Strong multi-tasking skills with an above average level of technical aptitude. Computer literate to include MS office including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Accounting background and ERP system experience (Oracle, SAP or similar ERP system) are helpful and preferred.
