Job Description

Job Summary:

The Oracle EPM EDMCS Techno-Functional Consultant is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of Oracle’s EDMCS solution. This position combines strong technical skills with functional expertise in data governance, ensuring enterprise data management processes are aligned with business goals. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders across finance, IT, and business teams to configure EDMCS solutions and integrate them with broader EPM and ERP systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
  2. Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to capture functional and technical requirements for enterprise data management.
  3. Perform gap analysis to understand business needs and how Oracle EDMCS can address them.
  4. Provide recommendations for improving data governance, consistency, and accuracy.
  5. Solution Design & Configuration:
  6. Design EDMCS structures, including applications, views, viewpoints, and nodes, to manage hierarchical and reference data.
  7. Configure EDMCS solutions to enable data governance, approvals, and workflows for managing enterprise data across financial systems.
  8. Set up integration points between EDMCS and other Oracle EPM and ERP systems like EPBCS, FCCS, Oracle ERP Cloud, and external systems.
  9. Data Management & Governance:
  10. Define and implement data management workflows, validation rules, and governance processes.
  11. Work on the alignment and synchronization of master data between EDMCS and downstream systems.
  12. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements for data governance.
  13. Technical Configuration & Integration:
  14. Develop integration solutions between EDMCS and Oracle ERP/EPM systems, utilizing APIs, data management tools, and third-party applications.
  15. Configure and manage data mappings, validations, and transformations in EDMCS.
  16. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system performance, integrations, and data discrepancies.
  17. Testing, Deployment & Documentation:
  18. Lead system testing efforts, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  19. Manage data migration activities during implementation, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  20. Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation, including design documents, configuration guides, and user manuals.
  21. Post-Implementation Support:
  22. Provide post-go-live support for EDMCS, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, and optimization.
  23. Assist in training end-users on EDMCS functionality, data governance, and system workflows.
  24. Continuously monitor system performance and implement enhancements as needed.
  25. Collaboration & Communication:
  26. Serve as the point of contact between business teams and technical staff for EDMCS-related projects.
  27. Provide regular updates to project managers, stakeholders, and business leads on project progress.
  28. Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations for stakeholders and users.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Functional Expertise:
  2. Strong understanding of enterprise data management, master data governance, and data hierarchies.
  3. Experience with financial and operational planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  4. Hands-on experience implementing Oracle EDMCS in complex, multi-system environments.
  5. Technical Skills:
  6. Proficiency in Oracle EDMCS, including configuration of applications, views, properties, and workflows.
  7. Familiarity with Oracle EPM suite components (EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS) and ERP systems (Oracle ERP Cloud, Oracle Fusion, or others).
  8. Knowledge of data integration techniques using Oracle Data Management tools, APIs, and file-based integrations.
  9. Experience with scripting (e.g., SQL, EPM Automate) and integration tools (e.g., FDMEE, ODI).
  10. Soft Skills:
  11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  12. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  13. Proven ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  14. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


Education & Certifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Oracle EPM Cloud certification, especially EDMCS, is highly preferred.
  3. 5+ years of experience in Oracle EPM/ERP implementations, with a focus on data management.





Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years
