Position Overview: 

Engage in an exciting work environment as a Technology analyst for a newly formed Nikko Jefferies Joint Venture financial services firm.

This position will provide both functional and data analysis support and project management for the on-prem suite of PeopleSoft Financials modules, the Oracle cloud-based HCM platform (specifically Payroll/Benefits and Time Tracking components), their respective associated Data Warehouse(s) and ancillary platforms. The candidate’s primary responsibilities will encompass business requirement and data analysis tasks.


Responsibilities include:

  • Compilation and documentation of business requirements, maintaining documentation for business process maps, workbooks, and procedures as needed.
  • Coordinating the book of work for HR and/or Finance IT support teams, including coordinating the functional specifications and managing the associated technical design for application enhancements.
  • Organize and coordinate project-related meetings and workshops, including status reporting and preparation of regular status decks for senior management/stakeholders.
  • Definition and maintenance of the internal governance model for technology projects to ensure priorities meet criteria for the overall roadmap.
  • The ability to work in partnership with functional /Technical resources to schedule, document and perform future implementations, testing, design changes, upgrades and troubleshooting. 
  • Coordinate the development lifecycle of the team tasks using tools such as ServiceNow and JIRA.
  • Maintaining document storage and organization of the team’s Sharepoint related sites.
  • Change Management preparation and coordination with the Technology policy.
  • Associated data analysis and reporting tasks. 


Requirements: 

  • 5+ years working in the global Financial Services arena with exposure to Human Resources and Financials systems, preferably partnering with technical and/or engineering functions. 
  • Understanding of HR, business, and accounting operations in the Financial Services industry.
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in both Japanese and English, across written and verbal channels, in professional and technical contexts.
  • Strong business acumen in reviewing and understanding business and technology requirements.
  • Exposure to Change Management process (SDLC, Waterfall).
  • Highly organized, capable of multitasking and detail-oriented.
  • Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team independently, with minimal supervision
  • 4-year undergraduate degree in Engineering, Information Management, or related field.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Sharepoint; Jira, Visio and MS Projects are a plus.
