Your key responsibilities

• Use industry best coding practices and develop the functional requirements
• Adhere to application and data architectural standards
• Complete the delivery commitments within stipulated timelines with highest quality
• Ensure production stability by maintaining close to 100% application availability
• Work with engineers, to prioritize, trouble shoot and resolve reported bugs / issues / CRs (change requests) on applications.
• Conduct demonstrations of developed functionality to users.

Your skills and experience

• Good knowledge of RDBMS Oracle (Oracle 12c and Higher). Exposure to Mongo DB / PostgreSQL would be good to have.
• Excellent hands-on coding in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL with exposure to analytical functions.
• Expertise in Query fine-tuning for writing optimized code to ensure optimized execution
• Extensive knowledge and experience in writing Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Exceptions, Views, Packages, Collections, Cursors and complex SQLs.
• Experience in analyzing productions issues from technical (database) and functional (application process) point of view and fixing them within defined SLAs.
• Experience in homogeneous and heterogeneous database migrations.
• Good Understanding of Explain Plan, Execution Plans and experience in analyzing TKPROF output and AWR/ASH report.
• Knowledge of UNIX commands and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of any ETL tool – Informatica preferred
• Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT/Bit bucket.
• Prior experience working in a CI/CD environment with TeamCity/Jenkins.
• Experience working in an agile team, practicing Scrum, Kanban or XP
• Exposure to database unit testing framework like utPLSQL or DbUnit.
• Knowledge of Java & DevOps could be an advantage.
• Exposure to Cloud platforms like GCP/AWS/Azure
• Good experience/ Knowledge of GCP services like Cloud Dataflow, Data Fusion, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner etc.
• OCA or OCP certifications are a plus.
• Experience/ Knowledge of noSQL database
