The Oracle HCM Security Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the security architecture within Oracle Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM). This role ensures that role-based access controls, data privacy, and compliance requirements are met across all HCM modules, including Core HR, Payroll, Compensation, Talent Management, and Benefits. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle HCM security, partnering closely with HR, IT, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to safeguard sensitive employee data while enabling appropriate system access for end users.
What You'll do....
- Design, configure, and maintain Oracle HCM Cloud security model, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Data Roles, Duty Roles, and Abstract Roles.
- Lead security audits and access reviews to ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and enforce Segregation of Duties (SoD) policies and conduct periodic SoD risk assessments.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to define access requirements for new roles, modules, and business processes.
- Manage user provisioning/de-provisioning processes, ensuring timely and accurate access grants and revocations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues, including access errors and role conflicts.
- Partner with Oracle Support and third-party consultants during quarterly patches, upgrades, and new feature rollouts to assess security impacts.
- Create and maintain documentation for security roles, policies, and procedures.
- Lead or support HCM security-related projects, including new module implementations, mergers/acquisitions integrations, and system enhancements.
- Provide training and guidance to HR and IT teams on security best practices and role administration.
- Monitor system logs and audit trails for unauthorized access or anomalies.
- Stay current on Oracle HCM security updates, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting HR data security.
You'll have....
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle HCM Cloud, with at least 3 years focused specifically on security administration.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud security architecture, including Role-Based Access Control, Data Security Policies, and HCM Data Roles.
- Experience with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and Business Intelligence Publisher (BIP) security.

- Oracle HCM Cloud certification(s)
- Experience with Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) or single sign-on (SSO) integrations.
- Prior experience in a global, multi-national organization with complex organizational hierarchies.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
