About the role and team 

As an Oracle App Developer you'll be a pivotal force in the execution of exceptional cloud solutions on Oracle HCM Cloud Applications. You will collaborate with Product Leads, senior business stakeholders, and engineering teams to strategically enhance the employee lifecycle, from recruit to retire, ensuring optimal efficiency and impact.

This isn't just about delivering; it's about owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for Oracle HCM Cloud solutions. As our Application Developer, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, effective solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand core business challenges, designing application architectures and configuration to meet, solve the business problem and scale for the future. 

 

What You Will Do 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior business stakeholders on HR technology enhancements and solutions
  • Act as the definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle HCM solution architecture, proactively identifying and mitigating technical debt while championing long-term scalability.
  • Orchestrate and lead complex proof-of-concepts, developing comprehensive solution documentation, and partnering seamlessly with functional consultants and engineers to ensure flawless delivery.
  • Champion and enforce enterprise-wide architectural standards and guidelines, ensuring all end-to-end solutions are meticulously aligned and integrated.
  • Establish and maintain robust system configuration and solution documentation according to Uber's exacting standards, setting a benchmark for clarity and completeness.
  • Spearhead the diagnosis of complex problems, recommending innovative and impactful solutions that enable swift and confident decision-making across the organization.
  • Provide overarching guidance and strategic oversight throughout the delivery phase, rigorously ensuring solutions consistently exceed requirements and standards.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate Oracle HCM Cloud releases, proactively identifying and championing opportunities to enhance our technological landscape and drive competitive advantage.
  • Cultivate and leverage high-impact strategic relationships across all levels of the organization, expertly navigating a complex matrix environment to drive consensus and achieve objectives.

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Oracle HCM Cloud implementation or configuration, with a significant portion in experience across Oracle HCM Core HR, onboarding and Talent acquisition, with a focus of AI agent studio and development
  • Expert-level proficiency in Visual Builder Studio, HSDL, HDL, and SQL capabilities, with a proven track record of leveraging these for complex solution development.
  • Extensive experience with the full software development lifecycle and a deep understanding of the product management model in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring and building highly scalable solutions in Oracle HCM Cloud, showcasing a profound understanding of its capabilities, configurability, and extensibility to meet intricate business requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Exceptional expertise in identifying intricate system dependencies and possessing superior problem-solving skills for troubleshooting multi-platform technical issues at an enterprise level.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, capable of influencing diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to strategically manage conflicting demands and consistently deliver high performance in exceptionally complex and ambiguous situations.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience with system implementations and connections to ServiceNOW, etc., providing a broader perspective on HR tech solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the overall HR technology ecosystem, including intricate integrations with 3rd-party Talent Acquisition, Benefits, and Finance
  • Broad business acumen and technology foresight with a keen awareness of emerging HR technology industry trends and their potential impact.
  • Extensive experience using JIRA, Lucidchart, and other advanced project management tools within the context of Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in AI development and solutioning

Responsibilities

For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $153,000 per year - USD $170,000 per year.


For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $145,000 per year - USD $160,000 per year.


For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $153,000 per year - USD $170,000 per year.


For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
