Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle EBS Financials, advising finance leadership on best practices, system capabilities, and process optimization.
- Solution Architecture: Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical designs. Create and maintain standard documentation (AIM/OUM methodology: BR100, MD050, MD070).
- Technical Delivery: Lead custom developments, including integrations, interfaces, reports, workflows, and extensions (RICE-W) tailored to business needs without breaking standard functionality.
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end project lifecycles for financial rollouts, upgrades, and patches. Manage offshore/onshore development resources and ensure code quality.
- Process Optimization: Deep dive into our Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R) cycles to automate manual processes and tighten internal controls.
- Month-End Support: Serve as the ultimate escalation point for critical month-end and year-end close issues, swiftly diagnosing data corruption, unposted journals, or workflow bottlenecks.
Required Functional Expertise
- Deep Module Knowledge: Extensive, hands-on configuration experience in Oracle General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CE), and Subledger Accounting (SLA).
- Advanced Features: Proven experience with Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS), E-Business Tax (eBTax), and Approvals Management Engine (AME).
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles, financial reporting, and multi-org/multi-currency setups.
Required Technical Expertise
- Database & Code: Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL. Ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and APIs.
- Reporting & Output: Expertise in BI Publisher (XML Publisher), Oracle Reports, and FSG (Financial Statement Generator) setups.
- System Tools: Hands-on experience with Oracle Workflow Builder, AME, and Oracle Forms Personalization.
- Integration: Experience designing inbound and outbound interfaces using REST/SOAP web services, concurrent programs, and SQL*Loader.
- Frameworks: Familiarity with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) or Application Development Framework (ADF) is a strong plus.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12+ years of total experience in the Oracle EBS ecosystem, with at least 4+ years operating in a Techno-Functional Lead or Solution Architect capacity.
- Must have completed at least two full-lifecycle implementations and one R12.2.x upgrade.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Preferred: Oracle Certifications in Financials or PL/SQL Development.
What Makes You Stand Out
- You understand the data model of EBS Financials intimately (e.g., you know exactly how XLA_AE_HEADERS links to GL_JE_LINES and the subledger transaction tables).
- You have a proven track record of reducing month-end close times through system automation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to say "no" to bad customizations and guide the business toward standard functionality.
