As an Oracle Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and supporting Epicor's back-end Oracle database objects and processes. Your work will power both internal and end-user applications and database interfaces, playing a key role in driving Epicor's automotive aftermarket data products and services.
What you will be doing:
Participate in collaborative team discussions to evaluate application requirements, identifying key application, process, functional specification, and design considerations.
Translate application requirements into functional specifications and well-structured technical designs.
Clearly communicate and document functional specifications and technical design details for stakeholders.
Review code and conduct unit, functional, and system testing to ensure quality and performance.
What you will likely bring:
2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Familiarity with GIT and source control tools.
Strong communication skills and ability to document technical work.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
What could set you apart:
Experience using GIT for source control and working with XML and/or JSON data formats.
Exposure to AI/ML tools and services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, ChatGPT).
Familiarity with Oracle Application Express (APEX).
Background or experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
