The National Security Sector of Leidos is hiring a Oracle Database Administrator in Suitland, MD.
All work is onsite. An active DoD TS/SCI is required to be considered for this role.
Our new colleague will achieve critical mission objectives necessary to continue smooth operations for HOPPER mission, as well as other internal and external agencies. The Oracle DBA will collaborate with internal/external customers and other experts to develop technical solutions to complex problems which are not immediately identifiable. They will be innovative, engaged, proactive and responsive to meet mission objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expert analysis of computer networks with primary knowledge requirements of information processing methodology, information technology, computer capabilities, and processing techniques.
- Work across IT functional boundaries (I.E. Other System, administrators, SAN administrators, Network administrators, Database administrators).
- Proactively address problems on server/systems, operating systems.
- Explore and suggest solutions to challenges as appropriate; monitor space usage, delete log files, dump files, correct errors.
- Install, configure, maintain, document and administer databases, Oracle Server Software and Oracle related products to provide optimum performance and system availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents detected during database monitoring or reported by users.
- Manage, migrate and debug application software, as it applies to the Oracle Database.
- Exercise initiative and champion solutions while conducting random health checks on databases. Prepare performance reports.
Basic Qualifications:

Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of related experience. Additional experience, trainings, or certificates may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher, or the ability to obtain within 30 days from offer of acceptance.
- Experience with Oracle 11GR2 and database administration.

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
