Position Summary:
Serve as the Oracle DBA and System Administrator providing configuration management, systems integration, systems application, and user management support for the client’s contract document management system (OpenText AppEnhancer V 22.2, Oracle 19C, and Windows Server 2016).
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Monitor database efficiency and maintain database performance
- Troubleshoot system/application issues and fine-tune the database environment
- Perform/enhance capacity planning as required
- Complete recurring and ad-hoc security control scans and checks; resolve findings
- Upgrade Windows Server and Oracle Databases as required
- Support Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations activities as required
- Develop and orchestrate data migration and application sunsetting activities
- Support data/file migration and transition into a cloud hosted SharePoint environment
WebX DBA
- System Administration Support
- Provide database administration support for the application (QA and PROD)
- As required, perform data backup/recovery services, reporting, and upgrading of applications/interfaces
- Respond to user-identified system performance issues, database, and website error messages, and assist in maintaining interfaces to external systems
- System Integration Support
- Monitor and maintain all data interfacing requirements, both internally within the program’s architecture and externally to other DoD and DoN-mandated systems
- Ensure integration of systems meets security requirements to include the Unclassified Trusted Network Protect Policy (UTNPP), NMCI security architecture, and DISA guidance
- Provide technical and planning support to enable successful accomplishment of all systems integration resulting in effective workflow and data interface while minimizing interruption or impact to the operational status of systems
- Provide systems administration and integration troubleshooting to maintain the production operations and required data flow from/to the system
- Effectively apply risk identification, mitigation, and documentation throughout the process of integration testing and implementation and provide information via technical reports
- System Application Support
- Serve as technical DBA lead to support any changes to the existing OpenText AppEnhancer front-end application
- Provide applications and systems administration, maintenance, and performance tuning to ensure optimization and availability
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve integration errors and issues impacting system performance; document errors and resolutions in Government-issued tracking tool
- Provide configuration, administration, maintenance, and web maintenance support including the systems databases and applications for the existing environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or any related field
- ‘Cradle to Grave’ Oracle Database Administration expertise (creating, configuring, patching, restoring/recovering, upgrading, sustaining, implementing security, managing administration, and migrating and sunsetting of applications)
- Proficiency with Oracle 19c, SQL Developer, Toad, Unix, Linux, and shell/SQL scripting
- Familiarity with OpenText AppEnhancer 22.2 (web server application) or RESTful services
- Experience developing Oracle data migration solutions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and Azure capabilities
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- 8 years of experience in Oracle database and JAVA-based applications
- 3+ years DoD experience
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II certification, as outlined by DoD 8570
