What will you bring to the team.

Oracle Configurator application is a powerful guided selling and configuration application that enables flexible modeling of configurable, multi-option, and customizable products and services.

The Configurator is used by partners, internal sales, and other fulfillment organizations for quoting, ordering, and fulfillment.  Configurator software iterates with pricing, order management, internal and external manufactures, and other backend systems.

What will you be doing:

• Implement engineering changes within the product configurator application. Specialize in developing product structures for newly engineered product lines and troubleshooting of various related issues.
• Provides expertise in implementing, programming and troubleshooting Product Configurator programs, addressing complaints and resolving complex problems including user support.
• Support and create applications used to collect and capture data analytics, Bill of Material (BOM) creation, Item Master and Engineering Changes and various other support responsibilities.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and product structures.
• Create product models based on engineering data within the product configurator application.
• Create and maintain product data within the sales configurator application.
• Test and debug BOM outputs from the product configurator application.
• Support and identify enhancements to the product configurator application and supporting interfaces.
• Lead and represent the product configuration group through various projects.
• Serve as the subject matter expert within the department to aid in resolution of specific problems and provide technical support within the department.
• Leads and coordinates work of others to develop and modify existing product configurations as well as create new ones.
• Maintain a customer focus and provide support throughout the organization.
• Assist training for new and existing personnel within the product configuration department.
• Assist in creating and maintaining departmental procedures and work instructions.
• Mentors other team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:

• BS or Master’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in Oracle Configurator development.
• Experience or familiarity with Oracle Item Master and/or Bill of Material Super user.
• Version R12.x or higher Oracle Configurator.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred skills:

• Point of Sale product knowledge.
• Experience with SQL, Java, or JavaScript.
• Version R12 Oracle configurator certification.
