The Oracle APPS & Database Administrator (Oracle /SQL) is responsible for Administer, maintain, and support Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x environments, Perform Oracle Core DBA, Support and maintain SQL Server databases and Azure SQL databases.
This position reports to the Sr. Manager Enterprise System and is part of the GLOBAL IT Team servicing SCIEX, Molecular Devices, and the Life Sciences Platform. Located in India, and will be working remotely to cover multiple regions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Administer, maintain, and support Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2.x environments, including application tier and database tier operations. Perform Oracle Core DBA activities such as database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, cloning, and migrations. Manage Oracle RMAN backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes. Monitor and tune database performance using AWR, ADDM, and SQL tuning techniques. Support and maintain SQL Server databases and Azure SQL databases, including installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning, backup, and recovery. Support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) hosted databases and ERP environments.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering or related fields.
- 8–10+ years of overall experience in Oracle database administration with strong exposure to Oracle ERP (E-Business Suite).
- Proven experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) hosting Oracle databases and ERP workloads.
- Hands-on experience as a SQL DBA, supporting Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise database architecture, security, and performance optimization.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience working in hybrid environments with on-premises and cloud platforms (OCI and Azure).
- Oracle and/or Microsoft database certifications are a plus.
- Production Support experience
