We are currently seeking a talented Oracle APEX Developer / PL/SQL Developer consultant to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City.
Job Description – We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer with strong expertise in PL/SQL development, Oracle databases, ETL processes, and enterprise reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle APEX applications, creating complex SQL and PL/SQL solutions, troubleshooting data and ETL issues, and supporting enterprise reporting and operational workflows.
The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work with business stakeholders, and experience supporting enterprise applications in Agile environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle APEX applications, including forms, reports, dashboards, and workflow solutions.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL objects including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
- Analyze Oracle database schemas, relational models, and optimize SQL performance using indexing, execution plans, and query tuning.
- Develop ETL-related SQL and PL/SQL routines for data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, and validation.
- Troubleshoot data integrity issues, ETL failures, batch processing errors, and reporting discrepancies.
- Create reusable database utilities for audit tracking, exception handling, and automated validation processes.
- Support and enhance Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), BI reports, and Crystal Reports datasets and stored procedures.
- Build responsive Oracle APEX user interfaces using Interactive Grids, Interactive Reports, Forms, Charts, Dynamic Actions, and Universal Theme.
- Implement role-based access, validations, conditional rendering, and reusable UI components within Oracle APEX applications.
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate functional needs into technical solutions.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis for operational and reporting systems.
- Support batch automation, scheduling, and operational workflows using WinBatch or similar scheduling tools.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, testing cycles, and release activities.
- Prepare technical documentation including data dictionaries, mapping documents, workflows, and support runbooks.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance for enterprise applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Oracle database development and PL/SQL programming.
- Strong expertise in:
- Experience developing Oracle APEX applications using:
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise reporting systems.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts including tables, views, indexes, constraints, and relationships.
- Experience working with reporting tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), BI reports, or Crystal Reports.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, or Confluence.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with HRIS or workforce management systems such as Workday or UKG/Kronos.
- Exposure to Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or PeopleSoft integrations.
- Experience with API integrations and middleware platforms such as Dell Boomi.
- Knowledge of automation tools and testing frameworks.
- Experience supporting enterprise payroll, workforce, or scheduling applications.
- Exposure to batch automation and scheduling tools.
