The Technology Leader will work closely with customers, project delivery teams, product line management, pre-sales organizations, business development teams, and global customer engineering organizations to drive successful delivery of Optical Transport, Cloud Infrastructure, and Subsea networking solutions.
The role is responsible for leading and scaling a high-performance Remote Delivery Engineering organization focused on optical transport networks, subsea connectivity solutions, and cloud-integrated network infrastructures. The individual will provide technical leadership across architecture, design, validation, deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of customer networks while ensuring delivery excellence and superior customer experience.
The candidate will lead a team of highly skilled engineers covering solution architecture, technical delivery, network design, interoperability validation, automation, customer acceptance, and technical consultancy across Nokia's Optical Networks portfolio, subsea transport solutions, and cloud-native infrastructure environments
Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end remote delivery of Optical Transport, DWDM, OTN, ROADM, Metro, Long-Haul, and Subsea network solutions.
- Own architecture, design, deployment, migration, and lifecycle management of optical and transport networks.
- Provide technical leadership for cloud-integrated network infrastructures (cINF) supporting network modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Lead customer engagements from solution definition through deployment and operational acceptance.
- Build, mentor, and develop globally distributed engineering teams.
- Partner with Sales, Pre-Sales, Product Management, and Customer stakeholders to drive strategic growth opportunities.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to executive and senior customer stakeholders.
- Drive adoption of network automation, SDN-based transport architectures, cloud-native operational models, and AI-driven network assurance.
- Support deployment and optimization of subsea transport networks, landing station connectivity, and terrestrial extension architectures.
- Ensure first-time-right delivery with high-quality engineering outputs and technical governance.
- Establish best practices, reusable delivery frameworks, engineering standards, and solution blueprints.
- Drive risk management, technical escalation management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Align customer solutions with Nokia product roadmaps and future technology evolution.
