Title: Opto Mechanical Engineer 
Duration: Long-term Contract
Location: Onsite in Redmond, WA
Benefits: Employee benefits at 100% including Medical, PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K Plan and much more!
Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week 
Role:
- Design, develop, and deploy advanced optical test fixtures and stations involving projectors, cameras (e.g. colorimeter), motorized stages, and various optical elements (lenses, diffractive gratings, mirrors, waveguides).
- Develop and integrate custom test fixtures and automation solutions for display and optical systems.
- Bring up, validate, and troubleshoot optical test systems and automation hardware/software.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design and manufacture custom optical test fixtures.
- Perform optical metrology, characterization, and data analysis to support product development and manufacturing.
- Manage calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of metrology tooling.
- Coordinate sample allocation and shipping related to test fixtures and metrology tools.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in developing optical test stations or fixtures in consumer electronics or related industries.
- Strong fundamentals in geometrical and classical optics, optical metrology, and optical system design.
- Experience with optical components such as lenses, waveguides, and display systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software aspects of test systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead technical projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AR/VR display systems and optical module testing.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or Simens NX.
- Knowledge of automation and motorized stage control.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, product design, and software engineering.
Education: BSCSE or related.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range $60/hr - $75/hr.
