As a OPS Process & System Specialist in our OPS Data & Process Governance team with a focus on our SAP SD/MM + TM tools, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in driving operational excellence, ensuring system reliability, and leading initiatives that enhance our processes.

Your expertise will be critical in supporting and improving our processes, analysing ticket root causes, and proactively addressing issues to prevent recurrence.

You will also take ownership of coordinating and executing small DPG projects, while acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders.

As a key part of the OPS Data & Process Governance team at Red Bull Headquarters in Elsbethen (Salzburg), this role leverages extensive expertise in ERP Systems, Transportation Management (TM), and cross-functional processes to drive operational excellence and strategic improvements within the organization. The focus lies on utilizing deep system knowledge in SD/MM/TM to ensure seamless system performance, proactively identifying and resolving complex process issues, and leading the implementation of impactful system and process optimizations.

Key responsibilities include ownership of strategic initiatives, coordination and management of system-related projects of various scopes and acting as a trusted advisor for process and system related topics. Additionally, the role plays a vital part in fostering knowledge transfer across teams, ensuring alignment of system capabilities with broader business objectives, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Job Description

BUSINESS SUPPORT & SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

Responsible for ensuring smooth operations and high-quality support for SD/MM/TM processes within the organization.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for application end-users, addressing issues and inquiries (1st and 2nd level support) and managing resolution follow-ups with system key users.
  • Conduct thorough problem analysis to resolve defects, fulfill requests, and implement solutions while preventing recurring incidents.
  • Document findings and collaborate with IT departments and external consultants (3rd level support) to escalate and coordinate resolutions.
  • Support cross-functional teams, data owners, and process owners by providing guidance on end-to-end (E2E) data processes and ensuring alignment with proposed solutions.
  • Drive data quality improvement initiatives by defining evaluation processes and continuously enhancing data accuracy.

 

ENHANCEMENTS & SMALL PROJECTS

Lead and contribute to the enhancement of systems and processes by translating business needs into system improvements.

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop pragmatic, solution-oriented approaches to meet operational goals.
  • Utilize data analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and oversee the implementation of enhancements while maintaining a customer-centric focus.
  • Drive the further development of systems to align with evolving business needs.

 

TESTING & DOCUMENTATION

Ensure system reliability through rigorous testing and maintain up-to-date documentation for optimal user support and knowledge sharing.

  • Coordinate and execute system upgrade tests and validate new developments in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Ensure system process documentation (e.g., BPPs, manuals) remains accurate, consistent, and comprehensive across end-to-end processes.
  • Promote the key user concept within Operations by establishing an accessible information platform and encouraging documentation best practices.
  • Define and maintain standards for system process documentation to ensure consistency and usability.

 

TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

Support organizational growth by driving knowledge transfer initiatives and empowering employees with SAP expertise.

  • Develop and deliver cross-functional SAP training programs to ensure all Operations employees have a solid foundation in SAP (e.g., OPS SAP Basic Training).
  • Support local key users in fulfilling their roles as knowledge experts by providing advanced training (e.g., SAP Key User Professional Training).
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by promoting a knowledge-sharing environment and ensuring that all team members have access to relevant resources and expertise.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in SAP ERP Supply Chain roles or similar positions, ideally with a focus on SAP SD/MM and/or Transportation Management (TM).
  • Proven expertise in supply chain processes and end-to-end business operations with a strong understanding of cross-functional dependencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP systems (focus on SD, MM, TM) with key user experience; familiarity with Business Objects and BI tools is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute process improvement or system enhancement initiatives and documentation (JIRA, Confluence ITSM Tools, ARIS).
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics and present them to diverse audiences in a clear and impactful way.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to identify key issues, solve problems, and exploit opportunities.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a logical and efficient approach to tasks and decision-making.
  • Ability to evaluate alternative solutions, provide clear recommendations, and proactively communicate with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge in a structured and effective manner, supporting the development of teams and individuals.
  • Strong resilience, with the ability to manage demanding situations and deliver results under time pressure while maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2,605 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
