Ophthalmic Testing Technician

Wolfe Eye Clinic is seeking a part-time Ophthalmic Testing Technician in our Ames clinic.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent patient service.
  • Document patient history.
  • Perform visual field testing.
  • Take diagnostic images such as OCT’s.
  • Disinfect and maintain clinical equipment.
  • Prepare, enter, and maintain patient electronic health records.  
  • Other clinical duties as assigned.

Skills and Knowledge:

Interested applicants must be able to work both independently and in a team environment, have excellent customer service skills both externally and internally, remain organized, learn, adapt quickly, and maintain excellent communication skills.  

Some daytime travel is required. When traveling outside your base clinic mileage and time on the road will be reimbursed.

Preferred Qualifications, but not required. (Willing to train the right candidate):

  • Medical office experience
  • OCT experience
  • Visual Field experience
  • Electronic Medical Records experience.
