Provide comprehensive patient care including specialized ophthalmic testing, triage and patient teaching. Perform basic and routine eye examination procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and problems. Explain diagnostic and treatment procedures to patients.

HOURS: Monday thru Friday Day Shift

Minimum Education:
Required: Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education 
Specify Degree(s): Ophthalmic Technician Program
Minimum Experience: 
Required: Less than one year of previous job-related experience 
 

Possess demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in manual refraction and applanation tonometry to support comprehensive ophthalmic care.

Preferred: At least one (1) year of previous job-related experience, highly preferred.

After graduation from an ophthalmic technician education course, staff in the Ophthalmic
Assistant position are required to become certified ophthalmic assistants within the first year of employment.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $22.18 - $29.55 per hour 

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
