About the Role 

Essity is looking for production employees, who have the ability and aptitude to progress to the top position in each department, while supporting our high standards of safety. Newly hired employees begin work as a Labor Reserve, where they learn the processes and equipment. Typical responsibilities, for a Labor Reserve employee, vary greatly based on work assigned. This position requires physical exertion in a heavy, industrial environment.

What You Will Do
  • Prepare raw materials for the operation

  • Operate machinery and industrial equipment to Essity standards

  • Maintain communication with previous and next shift, as well as other crew members and team members involved in operations

  • Maintain housekeeping

  • Secure quality level by regular testing requirements

  • Complete all documentation needed for operations

  • Work in a safe manner, while wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel toed shoes, bump caps, and other personal protective equipment as required

  • Accurate reading of tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment

  • Utilize basic math skills

  • Use basic computer skills to retrieve and enter data

  • Train and re-train as position requirements are modified

Who You Are

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Safety awareness

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Complex problem solving skills

  • Ability to work in a team-based work setting

  • Must have ability to pass written assessment, pre-placement physical, drug screen, and background check
