Salary: £27,771.45 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week, 06.00 - 14.30 and 13.30 - 22.00 rotating shifts Monday to Friday. Participate in Operational standby rota. Some flexibility will be required with business needs for Overtime.

Location: Perth, PH2 8QJ and other Bio resources sites when required

What you'll be doing;

  • Carry out and report on a range of activities at the Wastewater plant within established procedures monitor, test and analyse service performance and compliance with regulatory and business standards

  • Ensure equipment and resources are used, maintained and replaced appropriately.

  • Carry out a range of routine activities to time and quality standards to ensure the smooth running of the overall process on a day to day basis working with a team or lone working.

  • Support of planned maintenance systems.

  • PPM and Task completion

  • Carry out duties in accordance with Health and Safety and Company Operating Procedures.

  • Ensuring that the Client’s concerns and issues are dealt with or relayed promptly so as to ensure the smooth running of the overall contract.

  • To draw samples and test as required ensuring the optimal running of all plant and equipment.

  • Record and document all process information and analysis results.

  • To be involved in plant continuous improvement activities.

  • To ensure and maintain a superior level of aesthetics and housekeeping in and around the plant, equipment and buildings.

  • Safely and effectively monitor the operation of the process and conditions of the plant, making adjustments of controls.

  • Provide an appropriate response to emergency situations whilst working.

  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of planned plant shutdowns.

What we're looking for;

  • Previous experience in a similar role and environment is preferable ,however full training will be given to the successful candidate

  • Cost Awareness

  • Working Safely, Issuing Permits to Work, Experience working with Confined Space Regulations etc.

  • Problem Solving particularly in a wastewater environment or similar process related industry

  • Computer literacy

  • A confident, flexible and professional at all times, able to work effectively as part of the Operations team

  • The ability to make decisions based on technical knowledge taking into account environmental impact and issues.

  • Ensure that H&S policies are applied correctly

  • Full Clean Driving Licence

  • Able to participate in an out of hours standby rota , with weekend working if required

  • SVQ 3 Wastewater management or willing to achieve
