Position: Operator I - Caulk Case Packer

Wage: $25.46/hr + 3rd Shift Differential $0.85/hr

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will work in production for our Rigid Paper Container division and will be responsible for working in a safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. As an Operator I you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations and upholding all Product Safety guidelines.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Safely operate caulk line seamer, flanger, assemblers, bowl feeders, elevators case packer/erector/sealer, and box stacker equipment.
- Safely operate hermetic seamer, assembled spout hopper and bowl feeder, waxer and associated elevators.
- Safely operate the forklift to move raw materials and finished product in/out of the trailer and storage.
- Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned.
- Responsible to correct and/or report all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Complete all required inspection checks and properly complete forms at the specified frequencies. Submit to supervisor at end of shift. Ensure top quality product.
- Record box/pallet production. Accurately complete production reports at the end of the shift.
- Interpret and follow the daily production schedule to enable accurate and efficient production and execution of changeovers.
- Ensure that the packing area is clean and set-up with the proper materials for the next scheduled operating shift. Responsible for overall housekeeping and appearance of the assigned work areas.
- Properly handle, sort and/or segregate and contain defective product. Follow all prescribed reject procedures. Responsible for immediately communicating defective production to pertinent operators and supervision.
- Perform rework of defective cans as assigned.
- Train co-workers and new hires as needed or directed.
- Uphold all Product Safety guidelines.
- Relief other operators for break as assigned.
This position is located in Carrollton, TX.
