This is an opportunity for existing Smith+Nephew Contingent Workers only.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe running, cleaning and handover of process equipment to produce product within the correct product specification, in accordance with cGMP and operational standards/procedures. A critical part of this job is the participation in continuous improvement activities that impact on health and safety, product quality and efficiency standards.

You will be operating machinery, producing quality products in a safe and efficient manner, liaising with support services to continually improve area, asset and environment. You will also work within regulatory controls: including HSE, cGMP, QA standards to understand and use the SAP system to carry out required transactions.

What will you be doing?

• Set up, run and train basic functions across the Hull site, carrying out basic adjustments, data inputting, material ordering and problem solving.
• Carry out all in-process checks, and batch documentation following procedural cGMP standards using relevant QCP’s etc.
• Carry out training in those activities/procedures for which you are fully trained and competent, helping to build the capability of fellow team members and other working colleagues.
• Use flexible working practices to cover appropriate duties/tasks necessary to ensure continuity of production.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including process, cGMP and HSE, helping to identify root cause of problems using process knowledge acquired and recommending solutions to eradicate future problems.
• Demonstrate an appreciation of area/machine KPI’s by maintaining equipment/process performance records; ensuring performance information is correctly recorded.
• Escalate any issues in a timely manner by clear communication to colleagues, appropriate support teams and/Team Leaders.
• Ensure production lines/areas are operated at optimum performance levels.
