Salary: £13,633.08 per annum plus shift allowance of £3,230.83

Permanent | Part-Time | Alternate Month Working Pattern

At Imerys, we're looking for an Operative to join our team at a Refinery in Cornwall. This is a unique permanent job-share opportunity where you'll work a full shift pattern for one month, followed by four weeks off.

What You'll Be Doing

Working within our refining operation, you'll be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and controlling the refining process

  • Operating processing equipment across the site

  • Carrying out routine plant inspections

  • Supporting product quality and production targets

  • Following all health, safety and environmental procedures

  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards

This role combines both control room monitoring and practical operational activities across the refinery.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Legally allowed to drive a car in the UK 

  • Can work independently and use their initiative

  • Is safety focused

  • Has good IT, literacy and numeracy skills

  • Is physically able to walk around site and climb stairs regularly

  • Has experience within manufacturing, production, processing, industrial or operational environments (preferred)

Mobile plant experience would be advantageous, but full training can be provided.

The Shift Pattern

You'll work a rotating days and nights pattern for one month:

  • 6am - 6pm Days - 2 weeks

  • 6pm - 6am Nights 2 weeks

Followed by:

Four weeks off
