VP of Marketing

We’re looking to take our team to the next level with a creative, experimental, results-driven individual with demonstrated experience growing revenue and leading/scaling high-performing marketing and growth teams in a product lead environment. As Roofr’s VP of Marketing, your contributions will directly accelerate revenue, spread our vision and standardize our solutions across the industry. You will report to the CEO and will be responsible for architecting and leading our growth and marketing engines across the entire funnel (acquisition, activation, expansion, and retention).
What you get to do:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class marketing team responsible for full-funnel acquisition, demand generation, SEO, community/events, lifecycle, brand, product, and performance marketing.
- Establish quotas and manage pipeline goals and KPI’s.
- Responsible for the entire customer journey for the SME segment from signups, PQLs, MQLs, activation, self-service monetization, expansion and retention.
- Work closely with the growth product team on the self-serve funnel to optimize for product-led growth.
- Develop a strategic growth roadmap that scales user acquisition and lifecycle marketing through a multi-channel strategy of paid media, SEO, SEM, paid social, community/influencer development, email marketing, events/field marketing, CRM
- Plan and execute amazing in-person events
- Plan budgets that support the growth roadmap and balance growth priorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Roofr to develop new growth opportunities with identified consumer audiences and personas -- from ideation of to execution.
- Partner with Product leadership to facilitate growth channels and drive the creation of new products and GTM strategies
- Lead Product Marketing team to develop GTM for new features and product launches, optimize and scale go-to-market motions, segmentation, packing & pricing, market & competitive insights
- Partner with Revenue teams (Sales, Success, Partnerships, Revenue Operations) to optimize the entire funnel that results in the best customer experience
- Partner with Product Growth and Engineering to implement user testing, conversion rate optimization, and growth loops. Develop short and long-term product and growth strategies to drive both revenue and user growth
- Lead Content, Brand and Creative teams to oversee the development and execution of campaigns and initiatives to increase brand awareness and sentiment, and communicate our vision across the industry
- Drive the team to define, execute, analyze, and optimize A/B and multivariate tests. Set the standard for fast A/B testing, experimentation, and iteration to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Oversee and implement rapid experimentation and A/B testing across the entire funnel (acquisition, activation, expansion, retention), that drives increased adoption, revenue, and retention.
- Refine, validate, and standardize core KPIs and operating metrics such as cost per metrics, retention, ROAS, CAC and LTV. Monitor all metrics and focus on scaling channels and optimizing for lifetime value.
- Identify and sponsor new marketing technologies and vendors that will elevate our reach, agility, and operational efficiency.
- Foster an exciting, collaborative growth culture and get hands-on when needed to help our team build capabilities -- you have a vision, and you know what it takes operationally, day-in and day-out, to bring it to life.

What you bring to the role:
- 5+ years in a leadership role within marketing and proven experience driving the growth at a product driven organization. We are looking for individuals with demonstrated repeat business growth and or a history of success at high profile startups. Experience in vertical SaaS for SMBs in the blue-collar world is a huge plus!
- Proven track record of building, managing and growing marketing/growth teams in a self-serve, PLG SaaS model.
- Experience building and leading marketing/growth teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of success Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to map innovative and clear solutions to complex problems while managing multiple projects.
- Team-oriented disposition with the ability to facilitate and own cross-functional collaboration -- gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and applying a wide range of data inputs from a variety of audiences. You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans.
- You thrive in challenging environments where priorities shift frequently.
- Ability to operate effectively in both tactical and strategic capacities -- you can comfortably adjust your altitude and roll-up your sleeves as needed.
- You have outstanding organizational and project management abilities with strong attention to detail, including experience developing implementation roadmaps and processes within a matrixed organization.
- Strong understanding of marketing technologies, process, and best practices. Own the marketing stack and strategically optimize how we leverage our tools and systems.
- Follows a metrics driven, analytical approach with prior marketing dashboard creation experience.
- Able to work independently, managing priorities, and maintain communication with stakeholders.
- Superior communication, presentation, and material preparation skills required, with the ability to influence others and convey complex ideas in a way that is easy to consume.
