The Mixbook Operations team is seeking a Vendor Relations Specialist to join us! Job Description
As a Vendor Relations Specialist on the Mixbook Operations team you are the last gate keeper, final custodian of quality before our customers receive the precious memories they created. You will be an active and critical participant in our operations team with a very tactical focus on printer quality.
Location
This is a remote role! You will need to work in the PST or MST time zone and be able to travel 25-40% of the time to our US printing partners.
What You’ll Do
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Hold Printers accountable to metrics. (15 Print Partners)
- Uphold SLA (service level agreement).
- Create and report on KPIs measuring vendor performance, isolating areas for improvement.
- First point of contact for all vendor escalations.
- Act as primary contact for 3rd party printers.
- Coordinate with vendors on product requirements, pricing, and production timelines.
- Liaison between vendors and internal.
- Supplier Quality, measured by reprint reduction, for Printer owned solutions.
- Provide consistent analysis via excel of large-scale data sets to inform vendor performance reporting, and overall business strategies.
- Weekly calls with Printers.
Customer Service Escalation
- Manage escalations from CS.
- Review customer escalations for art file and print quality; migrating data into quality improvement initiatives directly with print facilities.
Relationship Building/Collaboration
- Develop a trusted relationship with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Creating spreadsheet to manage order issues between vendors and the product team.
What You’ll Need
- 5-8 years experience in a supplier/vendor management role or account management in a Co-Manufacturing or manufacturing company
- Experience with Multi vendor management 5-10 + vendors
- Responsible for Quality control/Metric management, holding vendors accountable (we have 15, have six core printers).
- Understanding of a manufacturing process
- Strong analytical skills
- Nice to have: Six Sigma Green Belt
