The Telecommunications Specialist is part of the IT Telecom Engineering Team, focusing on quality, efficient day to day management, operation, planning, and implementation of the telephony network to support LHI's business operations.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform administration and support of LHI's telephony network, including but not limited to multiple VoIP PBX phone systems, Contact Center applications, Voice Mail, routing of calls, tie line configuration, analog lines, call accounting software and call recording
  • Responsible for creation, removal, and changes of end user telephone configuration as well as phone deployment
  • Maintains Inventory Management System for tracking Telecom equipment
  • Routinely monitors telephony systems to identify potential issues
  • Assists other team members with preparation and upgrade of systems
  • Assists in creation of user training documentation, provides user training, as well as additional information necessary for the proper use of the telecommunications equipment
  • Provides support for telecom service request tickets

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience working within IT, or a 2-year degree in the IT/telecommunication industry
  • General knowledge of IT Infrastructure
  • Basic working knowledge of VoIP PBX and Call Center systems
  • Ability to perform routine local and remote telephone system, voicemail, contact center, and call recording software administration
  • Ability to provide level 1 technical support for work order request tickets on voice communication equipment in a timely fashion with minimal supervision and in a well-organized manner
  • Ability to document and maintain the telecom systems environment for operational and planning purposes
  • Proficient computer skills including Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Infrequent travel within the United States or off campus locations, so must possess a valid driver's license
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of TCP, VoIP PBX and Call Center systems.
  • Mitel or Genesys experience.
  • Military experience

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $20.77 to $36.88. The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $22.93 to $40.58.
