Overall Purpose
This position provides production application support, oversees file processing, and ensures processing jobs are completed as scheduled. In addition, this position provides first level help desk support (via phone, email or internal ticketing system) and monitors system environmental performance. The technology operations team supports a 24/7 operation.
Essential Functions
- Customer Service Focus: Provide first-line level one (1) help desk support to internal and external customers, researching and resolving basic issues according to documented procedures and escalating to appropriate on-call staff as needed.
- Monitoring and Process Control: Responsible for monitoring all production applications, telco, and internal systems. Ensure the successful delivery of input and output files, contacting customers for unsuccessful or missing file deliveries. Submit and/or reprocesses standard jobs under documented guidelines. Monitor all application processing to ensure successful timely completion.
- Incident Management: Identify and report system and network issues ensuring all events are entered into the ticket tracking application and appropriately escalated. Track and monitor escalated issues to ensure proper and timely resolution. Participate in Incident Management events according to documented policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Requires minimum of 2 or more years of work experience or on-the job training.
- Must be able to work different schedules as part of an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, IBM Mainframe operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to research and resolve basic technical issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service and ability to communicate clearly and professionally under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, policy compliance, and ability to follow documented processes and procedures.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- Background and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional education and experience.
- Knowledge in supporting batch and online processing systems.
- Prior experience working in computer operations, application support or customer support role.

Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
