As Strategy & Operations Associate, you will help elevate financial planning & analysis as well as financial operations. You will assist with accounting and financial process improvements including reconciling accounts and minimizing losses. As Pangea continues to grow, you will build scalable processes and ensure accurate financials. Reporting to the Strategy & Operations Manager, you will help build a best-in-class S&O function. You should have strong attention to detail and enjoy solving complex challenges and implementing innovative solutions.
As Strategy & Operations Associate, you will:
- Monitor KPIs and business drivers, highlighting trends and analyzing underlying causes of variance to goals.
- Build business cases based on external research and internal data analysis.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and minimize opex growth as Pangea scales.
- Analyze financial and performance data, and create financial models, to support strategic decision-making at Pangea.
- Drive the internal and external narrative on Pangea’s financial performance through reporting in preparation for regular leadership reviews.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
- Complete other special projects and duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5+ years of experience working in Strategy / Finance / Operations / Business Intelligence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with Looker or other BI/Reporting tools.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with financial modeling.
- Personal integrity and commitment to individual and team accountability.
