Essential Job Functions:
* Designs the computing infrastructure, providing technical assistance and consulting to the users, deploying new servers and clients, maintaining each system and the respective services, monitoring, and troubleshooting the environment for problems, developing tools for managing the system, and making all services available to users.
* Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements
* Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
* Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
* Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
* Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
* Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
* Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
* Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.
* Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

Requirements

Qualifications:
* Generally requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
* Generally requires a bachelor's degree. Post-graduate coursework may be preferred.
* Comprehensive knowledge of log file usage and review
* Experience with multi-node file transfer setups and high availability configurations
* Comprehensive knowledge of logical operators and rule building
* File encryption understanding via PGP
* SSH keypair understanding and usage
* Certificate/encryption knowledge
* Understanding of Globalscape EFT or comparable service preferred

Specific Skills/ Attributes:
* Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
* Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
* Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
