From re-routing deliveries during snowstorms, to connecting customers with coupons and deals for their favorite brands, to updating over half a billion grocery data lines every night...our efforts bring Instacart closer to being the operating system for the grocery industry.
OVERVIEW
As a Learning Designer on the Operations team, you will create skills-based learning content for Instacart shoppers (independent contractors). You’ll be part of a growing team focused on understanding the shopper experience and supporting them through our ever-changing landscape. This is a fast-paced environment, and we have dynamic needs that require lots of agility. You’ll write content for channels like email, various resource centers, lessons, and more.
Our team is dedicated to providing programming focused on learning, and support for shoppers. We believe providing Instacart shoppers with engaging digital learning resources is key to customer happiness and Instacart’s success as the world leader in online groceries.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners like Communications, Legal, Product, and more to develop and pitch learning resource ideas to the team before designing and delivering to shoppers. After launch, you’ll measure your program's success through surveys and performance metrics.
ABOUT THE JOB
The right candidate knows how to take complex ideas and distill them into easy to read, easy to understand learning resources for shoppers. This person can produce mobile-friendly, smart, practical, and/or clever content leveraging media, images and screenshots.
Execute all aspects of content development (researching, structuring, writing, and revising)
Source feedback from shoppers, subject matter experts and business partners to incorporate insights into all content created
Lead the creation of images and animations that improve the learning experience ensuring an aesthetically pleasing output
Perform quality checks on your own work and teammate’s work, ensuring consistency of voice, clarity, and overall engaging
Evaluate curriculum performance in relation to quantitative and qualitative learning objectives, iterating on content as needed
Maintain an understanding of industry best practices and when necessary, proposing new learning solutions to support Instacart’s needs
ABOUT YOU
- 3+ years experience in the design, development, and writing of content
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to express complex topics clearly and easily
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities
- Ability to take complex ideas/concepts and turn them into simple, accessible resources
- Ability to maintain high touch business relationships in a remote environment
- Comfort with basic analytics
- Strong business judgement and creative problem solving skills
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to pick up new topics quickly and excitement to build expertise in the grocery industry!
- An interest in working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities. A willingness to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed.
