Shipping Lead - Night Shift
We’re looking for a Night Shipping Lead to join our Shipping Team. You’ll report to the Shipping Manager and work from our Santa Ana office.
What You’ll Do:
- Communicate with Manager and Assistant Manager so that the night crew is up to date on any changes
- Be a leader to the night crew
- Verify orders that are ready to ship out
- Ensure all details are correct for each order
- Determine how to pack each order securely per company standards
- Assign and print shipping labels for orders
- Maintain an organized workspace as orders are packaged and sent out
- Coordinate with team members to package large orders, including bulk orders, international orders, and individual orders with more than 50 submissions
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
- Occasionally work Saturdays
Required Skills, Competencies, and Experience:
- Internal applicants from CU or current Shipping Employees strongly preferred
- Previous leadership experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2-4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Oral Communication - Listens and gets clarification
- Written Communication - Able to produce or read and interpret written information
- Mathematical Skills: Ability and knowledge to control all carrier specifications and standards for calculating and weighing of packages Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement and volume
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations
