Our Opportunity: 

Chewy Proprietary Brands team is seeking a Senior Quality Manager, Special Projects to join our growing team to build strategic mechanisms and processes for Quality programs at scale. We are looking for a leader and owner, who will partner with senior leaders cross-functionally to develop and lead strategic, operational and business scaling initiatives. You will have the opportunity to lead new programs from inception to full launch and work with multiple partners across the organization. You are a successful leader with a passion for solving complex problems, ability to work with internal and external partners, ability to influence senior executives and has proven results in delivering large scale programs. These programs range from developing improved vendor management systems to implementing a more rigorous product returns process.  

This leader will bring a strategic lens to new initiatives and special projects, streamlining existing and developing fresh processes, tools, methodologies, collaborations to new types of challenges facing the PB business. You will manage top-to-bottom Quality Special Projects and have a passion for empowering people. You know how to make the appropriate trade-offs to decrease time-to-market and effectively gain alignment on goals, roles, and responsibilities. Additionally, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, championing efficiency across various functions. You'll work across the business to gain consensus to deliver highly cross-functional, national programs. 

 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Design, develop and drive the day-to-day operational management, including process, managing program governance plans, defining success criteria, and operation efficiencies 
  • Own and operate project intake, discovery, and scoping in order to set each program's goals, strategy, and process and drive positive outcomes for cross-functional disciplines (Quality, Sourcing, Vendor Management, Fulfillment) 
  • Identify gaps and process improvements, analyze key business performance metrics, create plans to mitigate and drive to closure in collaboration with the larger PB organization and cross-functional teams 
  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide communication mechanisms, tools, and standards to support program management core competencies 

What You’ll Need: 

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in business operations or program management in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment 
  • High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment – figuring it out and adapting as you go 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical global, cross-functional groups across multiple levels of the organization 
  • Comfortable transitioning between big picture, strategic thinking, and tactical day-to-day planning and execution 
  • Demonstrate leadership, able to show invention and innovation on behalf of customers 
  • Ability to work independently to define and contain complex problems, prioritize effectively, and deliver quickly 
  • Have a combination of practical and intellectual skills, as well as ability to rapidly shift and adapt to different tasks that vary between complex analyses, hands-on projects, and project management 
  • High attention to detail and ability to distill complex ideas into clear guidance and communications 
  • Ability to travel 30%  

Bonus (if applicable): 

  • Previous experience with SQL and Tableau 
  • E-commerce background is a plus 
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree
