Senior Manager, Local Delivery Operations
The Senior Manager of Local Delivery Operations will join as a key member of our delivery operations leadership team and help build and shape the team for future success. Drivers are a crucial piece of Gopuff's story and play an extremely valuable role as our key connection point to the end customer. Drivers deliver the magical experience that is Gopuff to customers across the US and our team is proud to build the operations, process, technology, support and overall infrastructure that allows them to be successful. We are a centralized team managing everything from new driver growth through pay and incentive models, compliance, customer service, communications and anything else that touches on the driver experience. We are in major growth mode and will be bringing on 100 new team members in 2021 as we build our operations to redesign the future of the gig economy, not conform to the present model.
Together we will build a best in the world delivery network that can support Gopuff's rapid geographic expansion as the industry leader in instant everyday needs.

Qualifications
- 5+ years people management experience. Ability to hire, develop and build a high performance team following your vision. Experience managing people managers is a must. Able to dive deep into the weeds of a problem with your team to help find the best outcome.
- Direct creative thinking and problem solving experience. Ability to think outside the box, look elsewhere from industry norms for answers and quickly try new things not before seen in the gig economy driver space.
- Comfortable visualizing data, diagnosing friction points and executing solutions to improve the delivery partner and customer experience.
- Process design expert. Ability to build deceptively simple internal and external processes, root cause problems and continuously iterate to make things better.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead cross functionally across various business and product teams to define and achieve success together.
- Demonstrated success in leading decentralized logistics networks and hubs.
- Analytical leader with experience designing and executing A/B tests and other statistically sound growth experiments. Extremely comfortable drawing insights from reporting tools like Looker/Tableau and translating those into actionable strategies.
- Strong presentation skills, able to synthesize complex datasets and topics into actionable insights. Ability to generate buy in from stakeholders.
- Exceptional business acumen, maintains holistic understanding of business model, levers and cost/benefit tradeoffs.
- Experienced project manager with proven track record of solving complex business problems from diagnosis through to execution.
Responsibilities
- As a senior leader on this team you will report to the Sr. Director of Delivery Operations and help steer the entire organization while owning your own vertical, Local Delivery Operations. You and your team will be working in partnership with our Field Operations Team to build the best customer experience possible. You will build and lead a team of managers, leads and specialists with backgrounds in operations, driver operations, warehousing, analytics so that the team can successfully implement programs and initiatives that create great service. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to build tools that help us improve both the delivery partner and customer experience, Marketing and Growth Team to build delivery partner centric campaigns to help us build both our customer and driver base, and our Legal Team to ensure we are operating in a compliant manner at all times.

- Must be a collaborative, cross-functional team player and comfortable partnering with a variety of teams from Product to Ops to Finance

- Resourceful - is able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to roll up sleeves and do the work yourself.
