Windstream is seeking a socially savvy and driven individual to champion - and manage the day-to-day operations of - our social intranet (Stream). This administrator and online community manager will consult with individual business units to create and promote internal sites and content, model best practices for cross-functional collaboration, and drive employee engagement across a geographically dispersed company.

General Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain intranet sites and content within a content management system (CMS)
  • Manage user access and set site permissions
  • Lead efforts to create and maintain a sound site navigation (information architecture)
  • Manage intranet homepage to maintain a proper balance of content and tools
  • Oversee authoring and proper use of intranet sections for official company news, announcements, and events
  • Coordinate creation of a visual design and theme for the intranet
  • Lead projects to improve sections of the intranet or deliver new tools through the intranet
  • Track intranet platform (Unily) product release and upgrades, monitor the roadmap, feature store updates and ideation via the Universe customer community
  • Maintain long-term vendor relationship with intranet platform partner (Unily) customer success team and technical support
  • Participate in relevant intranet platform (Unily) training, webinars, and monthly developer calls
  • Create a governance model, then train stakeholders on how to create and post content following the editorial guidelines
  • Monitor user-generated content and social comments for appropriateness and alignment to our internal social media guidelines
  • Monitor site analytics, maintain dashboards and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and make ongoing improvements based on results
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and involve them in planning and problem solving
  • Communicate actively with business unit site administrators
  • Produce intranet-related training and change-management materials
  • Conduct site administrator user training
  • Responsible for reporting and monitoring defects, performance issues and outages to Unily and managing related Unily ServiceNow tickets
  • Coordinating and testing all Unily system upgrades
  • Lead regular content archival efforts


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Excellent organizational, writing, and presentation skills
  • Open and honest communication skills
  • Hands-on and self-driven
  • Passionate about internal social collaboration platform and community best practices, principles, concepts, and technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a geographically distributed workforce
  • Ability to work across all functional organizations as well as levels in the organization
  • Basic UI/UX design knowledge
  • Multi-tasker who understands how to develop tactical plans that align with the company's strategy
  • Advanced skill level in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML/CSS and multimedia design
  • Unily and SharePoint Online platform proficiencies a plus
  • Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment, with high expectations and accountability

Minimum Requirements: College degree and 8 years professional level experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience; or 12 years professional level related experience with 3-4 years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience desired.
