Position Description

Our customer is tasked with developing, testing, procuring, fielding, and maintaining the FLRAA Weapon System with First Unit Equipped (FUE) scheduled for 2030. Serco will provide Engineering, Logistics, and Acquisition and Strategic Planning Services to support of the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Project Management (PM) Office. The primary place of performance is Redstone Arsenal, Alabama or authorized virtual work location.

You will be joining a team of 25-40 full-time, highly experienced, and qualified acquisition, logistics and engineering professionals lead and managed by Mr. Dave Schairbaum, who previously led the Air Force Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) development program as Program Director.

In this position, you will provide acquisition management support. This includes:

  • Supporting preparation and review of program baselines
  • Developing purchase requests and documents required for solicitations and other contract documents
  • Preparing supporting documentation, such as, Test and Evaluation Master Plans, Technical Data Packages, Production Plans, System Improvement Plans, and Transition Plans
  • Identifying cost, schedule, and performance tradeoffs during product development
  • You will also develop, draft, provide, and update documentation for acquisition programs to include all documentation required for program milestone events (MDD, MS-A, MS-B, MS-C, TC/FMR, FRP, etc.)
  • You will communicate, coordinate, collaborate, and liaise with the user representative, other PEOs, ASA (ALT), and other HQDA and Joint elements, to execute the supported program


This position is being advertised for the purposes of a proposal. It is contingent upon contract award or funding award.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Communications, Business Administration or related field
  • Eight (8) years of experience supporting federal programs (preferably for the DOD)
  • May substitute three (3) years of additional task related experience in lieu of degree
  • Extensive experience supporting DOD acquisition programs, preferably related to Army aviation
  • Documented experience preparing DOD acquisition documentation


Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to an average of 25%
  • Ability and willingness to support full-time on-govt site support
  • Ability and willingness to support full-time, regular-recurring, and/or situational Telecommuting
