Purpose Summary

Professional Learning Facilitators, under the direction of Service Delivery Partners, serve as the primary contact for their assigned schools regarding instructional support aligned to school improvement goals and implementation. This position focuses on individual and group professional learning that encompasses professional development and product training. The work Professional Learning Facilitators undertake aims to expand and refine customer understanding of research and data-based effective delivery of virtual education.

Core Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of contact for schools regarding instructional support and product training aligned to school improvement goals.
  • Support School leadership and staff with the development and implementation of professional learning plans that support the instructional model and school improvement goals.
  • Collaborate with staff to learn alongside staff, model instruction, & provide coaching support for staff in their implementation, with the outcome of supporting school improvement goals.
  • Establish professional, collaborative relationships with leadership team members and staff.
  • Work collaboratively within the CSSD matrix to ensure schools have the necessary professional learning and resources aligned to SIP goals.
  • Create and maintain ongoing communication that provides information, data, and updates for all stakeholders.
  • Differentiate adult learning experiences in ways that make content relevant and enable learning.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state professional learning requirements to support the development of the school's professional learning plan.
  • Engage in continuous professional learning, understanding the latest educational trends and best instructional practices.
  • Through coaching, facilitate reflection on instructional practices and responses
  • Guide staff in using and interpreting data to adjust instruction, curriculum, and environment to inform school improvement decisions.
  • Promote consensus building, infrastructure development/refinement, and effective MTSS/RTI implementation.
  • Facilitate ongoing collaborative communication and support for teachers.


Required Skills, Experience, and Competencies

  • BA/BS degree required; MA/MS in Education preferred
  • Experience K-12 teaching or leader in a subject matter area (i.e., Education Leadership, Special Education, English as a Second Language, Reading Specialist, Math Specialist, etc.)
  • Knowledge on instructional strategies and best teaching practices, pedagogy and educational trends
  • Experience presenting to large groups and small groups of adult learners
  • Ability to work with limited supervision; willing to initiate and finish projects on own initiative
  • Ability to learn, adapt and be flexible to offer differentiated support to each school based on their instructional needs
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks, build trust, collaborate, meet deadlines, and work in a calm and efficient manner
  • Technologically proficient (especially with the use of the internet and Microsoft Office Products)
  • Some travel required
  • Experience and expertise with Special Populations and Professional Development trainings preferred


Key relationships

  • Works closely with Service Delivery Teams, District Partnerships Team, and Product.
  • Able to work successfully within and across a matrix system within Customer Success Service Delivery.


The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $62,000-$70,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Benefits available to eligible employees can be seen at: https://pearsonbenefitsus.com/
