Job Description
Are you ready to lead a storage revolution? The future of non-volatile memory and the ecosystems that use sophisticated storage technology will continue to be exciting, increasingly complex, and multifaceted! We are seeking experienced individuals that find technical challenges engaging and invigorating.
As System Integration Leads (SIL) in the NAND PDT, we are responsible for enabling high value system solutions on new NAND components. The SIL will act as the point person for all system technical requests for component information or assistance. We bring value by representing customer needs, finding successful solutions for issues between component capability and system need, and delivering outstanding component integration experience. As an SIL, you will represent the PDT group on multi-functional teams, and work with excellent team members from Design, Manufacturing, and other operational and development groups.

Responsibilities and Tasks
System Design

  • Establish system expectations for sample behavior (SCD interpretation)
  • Resolve criteria for sample material / Sample Definition
  • Coordinate mitigations with system team, MAG, CSI and NPD (to work around development NAND limitations
  • Understanding sample usage / potential issues with requirements
  • Work with partner and subsystem teams to build upon system education and use of Design ID specific features
  • Consolidate System usage of DID specific features to align with various NAND functional teams to ensure coverage during NAND development
  • Development material mixing rules / expectations
  • USTP Setting process / expected intercept timelines
  • Set expectation for management of trims during development / qualification


System Development / Qualification

  • Owns release review of component samples, possible sample flow
  • Coordinate review and acceptance of any trim changes needed to successfully use samples in systems
  • Review cell changes / coordinate system integration details (delivery, FW compatibility)
  • System performance improvement through dynamic trimsets or sequences
  • To handshake NAND trim changes affecting System across NAND component achievements with System teams
  • Propose system workaround for design issues and intercept final fixes across product development achievements
  • Coordinate sample imprint management and material tracking
  • Facilitate resource coordination for difficult NAND system integration issues such as: Power (peak / average), Performance (RWB, tprog), Sequences, and Interface tuning
  • Be responsive and adaptable to action items and coordinate resolution with appropriate NAND resource


Other Responsibilities

  • Extension of product development lead as relates to system integration. Expected to be point of contact / drive resolution on all customer facing issues
  • Collaborate with other SILs across the NPD organization to formulate and drive standard methodologies
  • Develop initiatives to improve coordination between NAND and system development teams
