Job Summary:
This Program Operations Manager (POM) position is located at the Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) in Tucson, AZ. The POM is the primary interface between the Program Office "Integrated Program Leadership Team" (IPLT), factory leadership for all the Strategic Make Centers (SMCs) and manufacturing factories/sites. This individual is a liaison, collaborating with the IPTL and SMCs to ensure that all program requirements are integrated, supported, and executable to meet program commitments. Results will be accomplished through leading, influencing and briefing across all levels of the organization, including internal and external representatives. POMs are also responsible for strategic Program/Operations planning for current production performance and future Program production and development efforts. In addition, it may be necessary to support OPSEC plan(s) execution as well as influence future security strategies. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to perform in technical, program, and manufacturing leadership roles.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Lead, collaborate and influence driving quality and performance for program deliverables, accountable for factory integration, consolidated program performance, and unique program requirements flow down to the factories as well as contractual performance to the customer
  • Work Effectively Across the Integrated Product Team (IPT)
  • Participate in strategic Program/Operations planning for current production performance and future development efforts
  • Support Operational Security (OPSEC) plan(s) execution and influence future security strategies
  • Communicate across program to identify, assess, collaborate and resolve any conflicts with program requirements
  • Define clear operational schedules, priorities and goals for each Strategic Make Center
  • Operations POC for proposal development and approval, assuring proposed costs or challenges are understood by Operations leadership and factories
  • Ownership of the Program's Operations EAC and budget
  • Prepare and present information for Monthly Management Reviews, summarizing program status and any on-going production issues
  • Coordinate and develop operations requirements for all gate reviews and execute proposed strategies from early gate reviews for effective implementation in future production.
  • This position involves hybrid support of manufacturing activities and program meetings, requiring remote and occasional in person participation.
  • The ideal candidate will possess the demonstrated skill and experience necessary to perform in technical, program, and manufacturing leadership roles.
  • The preferred candidate must be capable of working beyond the typical 40-hour workweek, travel domestically and move between buildings and local facilities.


Qualifications You Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or related to Production, Manufacturing or related field.
  • Typically, eight (8) years of experience OR an Advanced degree preferably in STEM and typically Five (5) years' experience working within a Manufacturing, Operations, Production, or a similar environment.
  • Experience working with PRISM similar inventory system
  • Root Cause Analysis and/or Corrective Action Execution experience
  • Experience managing support plans, completing basis of estimates (BOEs), and/or maintaining schedules in program/factory/functional department environment.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
