Payment Specialist

Job title:Payment Specialist

Reports to:Supervisor, Payment Services
An Avidxchange Payment Specialistwill be responsible for tasks related to payment processing on behalf of our customers.This includes achieving assigned payment and/or transaction completion quotas. A Payment Specialist also serves as a liaison with other departments by maintaining clear and responsive communication regarding payment related inquiries and status updates. Other duties are to be completed as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years proven accounts payable and/or customer service experience
- Effective and professional communication skills
- Adaptive to frequent process changes
- General skillset to perform/navigate on Microsoft OS; minimum of 60 WPM
- Experience with Excel (intermediate or above) andSalesforcedesired but not required
Primary Duties:
- Timely processing of e-payments on behalf of our customers via phone, fax, online, or email
- Successfully exceed minimumquota ofpayments and/or transactions completed per month
- Work with suppliers to ensure payment completion within designated timeframe
- Attempt each payment a minimum of 5 times
- Use all tools and resources available to maintain minimal errors, see discipline guideline; quality over quantity
- Actively review key metrics measured viadashboards to ensure standards set forth are being met
- Focus on constant improvement through weekly reporting and discussions with your leader
- Actively participate in meeting cadences (One on Ones, Week in Syncs etc.) set forth by the company and your leader.
- Complete necessary compliance courses set forth by Avidxchange; passing grade of 80% or better
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform OT as requested by leadership when business needs occur
- Deep dive review of proposed process enhancements to ensure ones assigned duties are not impacted negatively; detailed analysis presented to supervisor/management as requested
- Instruct and review when a new employee is scheduled to shadow
- Assist fellow employees with work at hand, win as a team!
- Strive to find more efficient ways to perform tasks and recommend process enhancements to improve business practices

Education:Associates Degree and/or 1-2 years related experience
