Patch Administrator
SailPoint, the industry leader in Identity Security, is seeking a Patch Administrator to join the Patch Management team. This position assists the team in updating IT core infrastructure and user endpoints and utilizes various Endpoint Management solutions. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of IT Operations, this position will be responsible for assisting the CyberSecurity team by maintaining patching levels on servers, workstations and other Information Technology assets. The successful candidate must have strong server and networking skills and be detail oriented administrator with excellent communications skills and ability to work with all internal organizations on security related topics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with SailPoint's CyberSecurity team to close critical security vulnerabilities and meet internal Security SLAs
  • Track software/firmware versioning across all infrastructure and endpoints (Mac & Windows) and identify targets for updates to increase functionality or security
  • Build and deploy software packages in endpoint management applications to automate patch installs on Mac and Windows systems
  • Provide assistance as required in analyzing trends and suggesting long-term and short-term improvements
  • Resolve incidents and problems in accordance with defined guidelines and meet operational level agreements
  • Assist in change management processes, implement change requests and meet project deliverables within defined guidelines
  • May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects
  • Ability to work after hours including weekends and night when required
  • Respond to general inquiries
  • Requires a dynamic, hard-working individual, with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Capable of effectively communicating highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experience with Jamf, Ivanti, MS Intune, Logic Monitor, Cisco, VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Extensive experience in a mixed Mac and Windows laptop environment
  • 2-3 years of experience working as a System Administrator in an enterprise environment (Mac & Windows)
  • Prior experience with Internet facing applications
  • General understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and databases
  • Strong ability to self-learn new technologies
  • Individual should be self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Sound planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects
  • Able to touch-type at a speed of at least 35 words per minute
  • Be eligible to work in the United States
