Primary role of the incumbent is to assure all necessary pre-production activities are defined and executed to best position our Supply Chain manufacturing team to successfully meet customer expectations and achieve our corporate OTIF goals. The incumbent will work with all supply chain partners to continuously monitor our performance to meeting those expectations and report to Sales and the business unit as needed.

Responsibilities

Incumbent will have direct responsibility as a supply chain lead in managing the execution and a key resource in facilitating communication of key supply chain strategies and objectives. They will be responsible for driving adherence to program initiatives from inception through implementation, ensuring alignment across all functional areas. The incumbent must possess quick and decisive problem solving skills, and a strong working knowledge of operations and the inter-relationships of all manufacturing, distribution and sales support functions. They must be able to influence peers, subordinates, and superiors in a cross-functional, matrix environment.

  • Drives ongoing efforts to identify, investigate, and implement process improvements and opportunities for cost savings (including, but not limited to, the establishment of low-cost logistic and retail distribution scenarios).
  • Coordinates interaction between manufacturing, sourcing, supplies, planning, and other groups to facilitate the on-time delivery of retail programs.
  • Establishes methods for monitoring and communicating production misses. Determines causes of production misses and works with appropriate facility manager to correct and/or adjust.
  • Serves as the primary communication link with business unit on execution of season programs.
  • Develops and communicates appropriate retail communication strategies regarding service implications.
  • Interfaces with Planning, Quality Control, Logistics, Manufacturing, and other groups to ensure product is manufactured and presented to accounts as intended.


Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or Commensurate Business Experience.
  • Combination of five to seven years of experience in Supply Chain: Customer Operations, Customer Service, Planning, Logistics, and/or Project Management desired.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in Operations with knowledge of logistics, distribution, and material planning helpful.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with strong computer skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while managing day to day challenges/issues.
  • Self-starter with strong team oriented leadership skills.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the interrelationships of all manufacturing support functions.
  • Possess a keen understanding of the needs of the overall business and the particular product group for which they are responsible.
  • The incumbent rarely operates in a position that is highly routine or functional. Therefore, the incumbent constantly draws on creative problem solving skills, recommending solutions for action and organizing such actions.
