LETRS Professional Learning Facilitator West (CA, NV, UT)
Job Overview: We are seeking a LETRS Professional Learning Facilitator who reports into the Manager of LETRS Professional Learning Facilitators
Location: Ideal Candidate will reside in either California, Nevada, or Utah.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate onsite and online LETRS professional learning sessions
- to educators, administrators and other stakeholders across the country
- Collaborate with company cross-functional teams as needed
- Participate in monthly LETRS Professional Learning sessions
- Participate in at least eight Literacy Symposium sessions annually
- Coordinate and facilitate webinars with internal teams and customers as needed
- Utilize various types of technology and systems with proficiency
- Knowledge of current research and trends in literacy
- Communicate work status and issues related to supervisor
- Deliver billable services (combination of virtual and in-person) up to 75% including weekends as needed to support company
- initiatives
Job Qualifications:
- Masters degree in literacy, special education, curriculum and instruction, education administration, school psychology, or comparable; doctorate degree preferred
- Deep understanding of LETRS 3rd Edition content and research-based theoretical models within LETRS
- Certified LETRS Facilitator Trainer preferred
Job Competencies:
- Profound knowledge of the body of evidence supporting the science of reading
- Understanding of cognitive developmental psychology
- Understanding of neuroscience of reading development and linguistics
- Unwavering commitment to excellence
- Evidence of superior in-person and online facilitation and presentation skills and adult learning theory
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally to customers and co-workers
- Ability to problem-solve complex issues and scenarios
- Strong interpersonal skills, and sensibility to build rapport with coworkers, contractors and customers
- Commendable work ethic and commitment to ensure that quality standards are met in all initiatives
- Knowledge and experience using structured literacy planning and teaching
- At least five years of teaching experience using a structured literacy approach
- At least three years of experience in supporting teachers (reading coach, administrator, etc.)
- Superior facilitation, active engagement, and presentation skills
- Proficiency using technology, especially PowerPoint, Zoom and Microsoft Office suite of products
- Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
