How will you make an impact?

As an IT Operations Business Partner, you will ensure effective IT operations that supports the rapid growth at the Carlsbad site. You should have expertise in implementing and supporting both applications and IT infrastructure. You will partner closely with manufacturing and multi-functional support teams at the site on tier meetings, projects, initiatives, process improvements, important metrics, and critical issues. You will work closely with our Global IT team and partners on carrying out the IT demand received from the site. You will develop a prioritized roadmap and meaningful IT metrics for the site.

What will you do?
• Participates and acts as the voice of IT in multi-functional site operations meetings.• Coordinates business demand with internal IT teams and partners.• Develops an IT roadmap of site projects and initiatives.• Develops IT metrics and continuously works to improve.• Efficiently handles IT issues and requests to SLA targets.• Regularly coordinates with internal customers on IT solutions.• Participates in IT projects up to and including leading projects.• Handles business priorities and partner concerns.• Advocates for high quality change processes.• Exhibits high integrity and promotes high standards of delivery.• Fosters positive work environment and teamwork.• Frequently communicates global and corporate IT standards and changes.
• Other tasks/duties including remotely supporting regional sites may be assigned.

How you will get here?

Education
• HS degree required.
• Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or related degree is preferred -OR- eight years of relevant experience.

Experience
• 5+ years working in IT operations or as an IT Business Analyst, or equivalent role.• 3+ years working with internal multi-functional teams on IT initiatives.• 5+ years installing, developing, or supporting software applications.• 5+ years implementing or supporting IT infrastructure.

Preferred Experience
• Experience using ServiceNow or other ITIL applications.• Experience working in Life Sciences, Biotech, Pharma, or Manufacturing.• Experience supporting or knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.• Experience supporting or knowledge of manufacturing execution systems and/or warehouse management systems.• Experience using PowerBI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.• Experience working with PowerAutomate, UiPath, or other automations tools.• ITIL experience or certification.• Project management experience or PMP certification.• Lean Six Sigma experience or certification.

• Outstanding multi-functional business facing skills.• Outstanding ability to solve problems and handle critical issues effectively.• Outstanding ability to collect, assess, and communicate business requirements.• Outstanding ability to take ownership and work with speed and accuracy.• Solid ability to prioritize, work independently, and drive effective change.• Strong written and verbal skills and consistent track record to influence others.• Strong data analysis, communication, and presentation skills.• Good ability to work within a matrixed environment.• Ability to engage patiently with partners and communicate changes.• Ability to identify technical issues related to IT infrastructure and applications.• Knowledge of common cyber security threats and preventative measures.• Knowledge of SCRUM, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.• Proficient using Microsoft Suite.
