This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home from anywhere in the US.

Core responsibilities to include:

  • Partner with InfoSec leaders to align requested spend with department objectives
  • Partner with Finance team to maintain department budget in line with corporate goals and guidelines
  • Work with InfoSec leadership team to define and implement strategic goals aligned with corporate business drivers
  • Manage staffing requests including promotions, increases and retention bonuses, aligning with process and budget



This position will ensure execution of operational activities to maintain and continuously improve business management capabilities to support alignment with department strategies. Leads business management processes in partnership with respective process owners (strategic and operational planning, reporting, financial management). Continuously evaluates the efficiency of procedures within the department and recommends or implements improvements that are consistent with organizational objectives. Responsible for aligning the portfolio of IT investments with the needs of the business, and ensures the consolidated portfolio and overall technology organization delivers ongoing value through structured performance measurement. Ensures effective working relationships with vendors and third party providers, ensuring contracts are kept up to date and cost maintenance strategies are assessed and analyzed on a periodic basis. Executes and monitors continuous quality improvement using Lean Management Principles. This individual should be a visible leader within Magellan. Helps drive Magellan to become a global leader in using technology to deliver better outcomes to our members. Mentor and empower the team to deliver great products; inspire them to continuously improve their craft and capabilities. Hire, develop, grow, engage, motivate and manage managers and individual contributors.

  • Plan, lead, or support department strategic and tactical meetings, including joint meetings with other teams.
  • Assists with department financial planning and management; helps manage the department's budgets and discretionary expenses.
  • Facilitates, manages, and executes formal continuous improvement efforts.
  • Continuously evaluates the efficiency of procedures within the department and recommends or implements improvements consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Conducts structured performance measurements to assess the organization delivers ongoing value to ensure alignment between business portfolio and business need.
  • Meets with leaders and users and analyzes metrics to ensure effective working relationships with vendors and third party providers.
  • Ensures contracts are kept up to date and cost maintenance strategies are assessed and analyzed on a periodic basis.
  • Mentor and empower the team to deliver great products; inspire them to continuously improve their craft and capabilities.
  • Managers will hire, develop, grow, engage, motivate and manage managers, individual contributors, and contracted resources.



Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities
7+ years related experience including a minimum of 3+ years of experience in two of the following: IT Financial Management, IT Portfolio Management, Project Tracking and reconciliation, Audit and Controls, Metrics and Measurements, Vendor - Procurement management and Lean Management.
Critical thinker.
Demonstrated problem solving techniques.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
