The Platform Services and Emerging Technologies organization is seeking a highly motivated, Infrastructure Software Engineer to help build and support our entire on-premise and cloud platform infrastructure. Working side by side with engineering teams, supporting daily operations and our long-term roadmap. Does automation and a fast-paced environment excite you? Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test features/functions delivered via applications and services
  • Design, develop, and deliver rich customer engagement and user experience platforms that drive public cloud adoption in the company
  • Hands-on software development for infrastructure that will perform at scale
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise systems
  • Take corrective action to avert system degradations or possible outages from OS and application layer
  • Perform code reviews, evaluate implementations, and provide feedback for tool improvements
  • Interact and support customer's ad-hoc questions through Slack and other platforms
  • Automate processes where possible and propose new tools when needed
  • Assist other team members in the support of GitHub, Perforce, Codacy, SonarQube, Artifactory, LaunchDarkly, and Code Collaborator
  • Engage in technical and architectural discussions and decision making



Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficiency with scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, Groovy, Perl, Bash
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments
  • 2-5+ years of software development experience using tools like GitHub, Perforce, SonarQube, Artifactory or similar
  • Hands-on experience with Public Cloud like AWS, Google, Azure or similar
  • Experience with infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef or similar
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments
  • Experience defining and building CI/CD processes and working with common CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Circle CI, Spinnaker or similar
  • Deals well with ambiguous or undefined problems; ability to think abstractly and guide others
  • Customer-facing and service-oriented person
  • Good self-management skills and ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks coming in simultaneously
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related quantitative field



Preferred Qualifications

  • Autonomous development and extension of services and tools in the Git or GitHub ecosystem using Rust, Bash, Ruby, and REST APIs
  • Masters Git effortlessly as a user and is familiar with advanced features such as git rebase
  • Familiar with the administration of Linux distributions and systems
  • Good understanding of networking and security concepts
  • Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise Server and advanced features such as GitHub Actions or the GitHub API or similar services such as GitLab
  • Virtualization / Container technologies such as VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes
