Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Supplier Quality Specialist to join our to join the Supplier Quality team in; Huntington Beach, CA or Los Angeles, CA. These are autonomous positions, therefore, the candidates will have the ability to work from home or a supplier locations.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities:

  • Position Description Plans, organizes and performs tooling capability assessments. Documents and reports audit results.
  • Develop corrective action plans, training and other resources to support improvements in supplier's control of tooling.
  • Act as a focal for suppliers and applicable business units to resolve tooling issues and concerns.
  • Provide guidance and oversight when verification of coordination data to source master tooling is required.
  • Perform site requested periodic inspection of Tooling used for the acceptance of product.
  • Perform periodic tooling inspection using both physical and digital definition and interpret data for acceptance of tooling compliance.
  • Generate or initiate plan when root cause corrective action or potential product impact investigations are required.
  • Work under minimal direction.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 3+ years of industry experience in Quality
  • Experience working through process improvements
  • 1+ year of root cause corrective action
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Product: Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience do you have auditing to quality system standards
  • Experience in Fabrication tooling
  • 1+ year of Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of SQIS, Redars, and/or other Boeing quality data systems is a plus .
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Advanced Measurement skills as an operator of Coordinate Measurement Systems, Laser Tracker, Laser Scanners, etc.

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.). Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
